For instance, we don&#8217;t &#8220;see&#8221; the color red in quite the same way: each sensation is specific to the individual and cannot be summed up by the physical wavelength of red light. Qualia belong entirely to the individual; they cannot be described from the outside, nor can they be transmitted through quantitative information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By their very nature, our interactions with art are filled with these qualia. No one reads a book or looks at an artwork in quite the same way. And yet, we sometimes share the same enthusiasm and find common ground in some form of &#8220;culture&#8221;.
